Tokyo Sushi - Madison: Experience Fresh and Affordable Sushi in the Heart of Madison

This place is great! They always give us awesome and super fast service. The food is delicious and they have really good vegetarian sushi options. Our server even waited until my fiancé arrived to bring out the drink I ordered her (I got to the restaurant early, ordered, and reserved a table), so it was nice and cold still when she arrived. I didn’t even ask the server to do that, they just did a great job and went above and beyond. I pop in this place for lunch sometimes, definitely worth it. Not very expensive either, a sushi roll is only like $4-$5. I got yasai gyoza veggie tempura and two different veggie sushi rolls to split with my fiancé and we were both full. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The folks that work here are lovely and care very much about the work they do. The food is good and consistent. I do wish the atmosphere was a little bit more lived in. It still feels like it opened yesterday. But I will keep going back. We love it here.

Tokio Sushi is an excellent place! Great prices, outstanding service, and incredibly fresh, delicious food. Every dish is prepared with high-quality ingredients, and the flavors are amazing. Highly recommended!

Our favorite sushi date spot in Madison! We always leave with a full stomach after a good meal. Honestly the most affordable sushi in town, too!

Dined here recently with my spouse on a busy Saturday evening, but luckily we were sat quickly since we had reservations. Our table was at the front bar area which was pretty chaotic due to the number of people waiting for a table but settled down later as people were seated. Food was very tasty, and I especially enjoyed the sushi I ordered from their a la carte menu. The mackerel and fatty salmon tasted particularly fresh. My spouse ordered hibachi and one of their specialty rolls which were both delicious and plentiful. Only downside was it took about 40 minutes for us to get our sushi after putting in our food order (hibachi came almost immediately). Overall, we had a great time and will be back.

I love this place. We go quite often when craving sushi. I love that its a small, locally-owned establishment. The sushi itself has always been great, and I'd compare the quality to those much higher-priced options downtown. The vibe isn't as loungey as the others, but rather a quiet and comfortable restaurant. They do seem to be short-staffed so waits can happen, but they try to make up for it where they can and it's well worth it.

I’ve been here multiple times now and Tokyo Sushi never disappoints. The Spicy Combo is my go-to — each roll has just the right kick without being overwhelming. The presentation is always clean, and the flavors are consistent. They also have a solid selection of cooked rolls if raw fish isn’t your thing.

Outstanding service and food! Our server had wonderful energy and every roll was spectacular. Definitely worth the wait - we will most certainly be returning again soon!
